Emiel Krahmer is Professor of Language, Cognition, and Computation. His research is aimed at getting a better understanding of how humans exchange information during communication (both verbally and non-verbally), which in turn may help for improving the way computers present information and communicate with humans.

Saar Hommes is a PhD researcher in Risk Communication and Computational Linguistics. Her research focuses on communicating patient data in such a way that it is clear and understandable for patients. For this, she makes use of Natural Language Generation techniques.

Felix Clouth is a PhD researcher in Methodology and Statistics. His research focuses on integrating observational and registry data using latent variable models and prediction models for health related quality of life outcomes of cancer survivors.

Steffen Pauws is Professor of Data Science, eHealth, and Communication, and a Leading Scientist in Chronic Disease Management and Population Health for Philips Research. His research focuses on risk modeling in healthcare and generating individualized treatment reports from medical data.

Lonneke van de Poll-Franse, Ph.D.
Lonneke van de Poll-Franse is Professor of Cancer Epidemiology and Survivorship, Group Leader at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and Senior Researcher at the Netherlands Comprehensive Cancer Organisation (IKNL). Her research focuses on the short- and long term physical and psychosocial consequences of cancer and its treatment, and on the improvement of information provision, shared decision-making, and survivorship care in patients with cancer.
